Class Registration at Online: Oxford Virtual Academy SP 2023

Classes are 14 weeks Starting : Jan. 31th – May 02nd, held virtually online: (https://virtualacademy.oxfordschools.org/)

Our mission at AccelerateKID® is to create future creators using our unique STEAM.org™ Accredited program. Students not only learn about entrepreneurship and the latest technology but they will also gain 21st century skills including creative designing, critical thinking, teamwork problem solving and public speaking. The first 15 students will be accepted for enrollment and the rest will be placed on a wait list. (Requires a Minimum of 5 students per class.)

Virtual Online JavaScript Coding Advanced, Grades 9-12, Tuesday, 10AM-11AM – Open

AccelerateKID® JavaScript Programming class will teach high school grades 9-12 about advanced computer science using JavaScript programming language. Students will learn advanced JS programming logic and debug skills, understand JS syntaxes, and develop custom apps and games using sports and animal themes. Additionally, will learn Python and JAVA fundamentals.

Virtual Online Minecraft Coding, Grades 6-8, Tuesday, 11AM-12PM – Open

AccelerateKID® Minecraft Programming class will master the Minecraft Server using the sandbox. The class will allow students to implement the technology by implementing a server, understanding port forwarding and creating game arenas. Students will learn: House Building Techniques, Town Creation and Expansion: roads, lights, service building, Design Landmarks, Build a Petting Zoo, How to Create a Role in the Community Crafting Patterns.

Virtual Online Scratch Coding, Grades 4-5, Tuesday, 12PM-1PM – Open

AccelerateKID® Scratch Programming class will use M.I.T. Scratch visual programming language which teaches students grades 4-5 to understand the basic concepts of programming and debugging skills. Students will design storyboards, develop simple to advanced games like the Maze and Pac-Man to heighten their programming skills with logic operators, loops, variables and more.

Virtual Online Scratch JR. Coding, Grades K-3, Tuesday, 1PM-2PM – Open

AccelerateKID® Scratch Jr. Programming class will use M.I.T. Scratch visual programming language which teaches students grades K-3 to understand the basic concepts of programming and debugging skills. Students will design storyboards, develop simple to beginning games like the Beach Run and Jeopardy to heighten their programming skills with logic operators, loops, variables and more.
