DHACK is back and you’re invited!

For our first challenge, we are partnering with CSforALL, a national non-profit dedicated to making Computer Science accessible to all. The challenge will be to build Twitter Operated (IoT) Vending Machines for the CSforALL Summit being held at WSU October 8-11.

Join us on Sunday, September 9th for the challenge kick-off where you will learn all about the Twitter vending machine challenge, its requirements and prizes.

All 5 workshops for this challenge are on Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will be held on the 3rd floor of the David Adamany Undergraduate Library (UGL) in the Community Room.

Challenge Schedule:
  • September 9: Team building (5-7 individuals per team); Preliminary design – design thinking; Material round up (Raspberry Pi’s, Arduinos, Plywood, Lexan, Hardware, Bread boards, Wires, Electronic accessories)
  • September 16: Coding begins; Design work; Building begins; Requests for minor parts fabrication made to machine shops and/or maker spaces
  • September 23: Coding continues; Design work continues; Building continues
  • September 30: Finish building; Testing begins
  • October 7: Finishing touches and prep for transport to WSU Community Arts Auditorium for the
