We are now adding a blended learning approach to our 6-9 month classes. It is a method of education that combines online educational materials with the onsite interaction at our learning center. We believe that this will increase and reinforce student’s learning and comprehension level.
Entrepreneurship is more than just being your own boss or owning a business; to our company, it embodies the fundamental skill sets, developed and adequately directed over time, of one who takes ownership and execution of their ideas, creativity, and ambition. We believe when kids are exposed to this learning at an early age,it allows for excellent controlled acceleration, taking on the competitions in the world is exceedingly improved. All of our programs have these fundamentals embedded in them so that our students come out learning more about their passions and the action steps they need to take as individuals to complete them.
Some skill sets that will be learned, built, and strengthened are organization skills, self-confidence, creativity, good presentation/communication skills, etc.
Kids will learn about computer science and programming. It’s essential for kids to learn to code like they do math and reading. We have programming camps for Scratch Visual Programming, JavaScript, Python, and Java app development.
An introduction for students to computer programming using M.I.T.’s ScratchJr App visual programming language. Students will create animations and customize popular video games such as Cat-n-Mouse to understand the logic behind programming.

Using M.I.T.’s Scratch visual programming language, students will be taught to understand the basic concepts of programming and debugging. Students will design storyboards, develop simple to advanced games like Maze and Pac-Man, and heighten their programming skills with logic operators, loops, variables and more.

Students will learn the essential JavaScript programming language using Bitsbox. They will develop an understanding of typing code, including syntax, arrays, functions, and other basics of programming. They will also design and develop programs that can be run on computers or tablet devices.

Students will learn the Python programming language and use loops and data types. They will learn to work more efficiently with programming syntax, resulting in developing longer programs. (Javascript knowledge is required to take this class.)

Students will use the Java programming language to design apps and develop ideas in the Android, Android SDK, Android Studio, and Eclipse environment. They will complete group exercises and individual projects in order to develop apps. (Javascript knowledge is required to take this class.)

Kids will learn about hardware technology and computer programming. We have robotics classes and camps for all ages, including Blockly, LEGO EV3, computer building, and our new cybersecurity course.
The Robotics 101 class is a great introduction to robotics and programming using Wonder Workshop’s Dash robots for kids, grades K-2. Students will build, program and play to get a good understanding of how robotics work. The goal is to let kids be creative, learn to troubleshoot and discover how robots can be fun.

The Robotics 201 class is for kids, grades 3-8, to be introduced to robotics and computer programming using the LEGO Mindstorms robots and the EV3 programming software. Students will learn the functions and mechanics of the LEGO robots including sensors, switches, blocks and more.

Mechatronics is a field which combines robotics, electronics, and coding. Students will develop skills across 3 topics: Robotics, Electronics and Circuits, and Hardware Coding. During this course, students will work with drones, Arduino, and circuit boards. Students will develop a deeper understanding of sensors, and will create various sample circuits to learn more about software and hardware interaction.

In this course, students will learn how to make use of Artificial Intelligence using modern solutions, such as Amazon Alexa. Students will investigate the topics of AI and Machine Learning, while also learning a functional and powerful programming language. In this course, students will undertake a variety of projects and tasks, to help them understand how to use and apply this growing field of technology.
In Internet of Things, students will take everything they’ve learned across our robotics tracks, including circuits, hardware design, and coding to develop a useful modern product. Students will apply various entrepreneurship skills, while learning how to create devices that can communicate effectively together without a large scale PC doing the heavy lifting. This course is designed to give students freedom in what they wish to create, with the possibility of working in teams to further collaborate and deliver a working product. This course has been designed with the hardworking and motivated in mind, those who wish to create something tangible and potentially releasable.

Teaching kids about game design and coding using fun games like Minecraft and Roblox. It doesn’t matter if your child is a novice or expert at gaming, we have tech classes, camps and club meetups for all ages.
Students will learn introductory game design concepts as they build simple games using either Minecraft or Roblox Studio as their choice of tool to suit what the student is interested in. The goal of the course is to teach students fundamental skills and concepts that are used when designing videogames while interacting and playing games that they will make themselves.

In Minecraft Studio, students will start by learning all there is to know about creating custom game experiences with Minecraft as a basis. Students will learn how to operate a personal server, manage and use plugins, and create online experiences for their users. Following that, students will dive into one major channel of game design, game modding. During the second half of the course, students will employ MCreator, a modding tool for the Java version of Minecraft to create mods that cannot be made with just simple plugins. Students will create custom tools, blocks, and scripts to create and release a mod pack that can be used in conjunction with their online server.

Dive deep into game development with this professional tool used to develop and release popular games, such as Undertale, Hyperlight Drifter, and Katana Zero. GameMaker is a program used for entry level developers seeking an easy to use tool that grows with them as they build their skills. In this course, students will first learn how to use this tool to create a simple set of games, and from there, plan and develop their own games, following steps that professional game designers use. Students will learn the different facets of being a game developer from the creation of games, to the planning and structuring used in modern game companies. GameMaker Studio can be also used for developing games for official game consoles.

Students, grades 5-8, develop 3D game animation and video game skills using the Unity Game Engine. Unity is utilized by companies such as Cartoon Network Studios. The class will apply creativity and programming skills to create 2D and 3D games and animation.

Teaching kids about creative design and digital art technology. We have 3D printing, YouTube video production, entrepreneurship, web design, stop-motion animation and graphic design classes, camps or clubs for kids.
In Jr. Art Design, students will begin their journey into digital arts, employing tools such as Pixlr/x/ (an online photoshop like tool) to create modern digital art pieces. Students will learn the basics of using digital drawing tools to edit, create, and modify artwork on a digital platform. Students will use the tools they learn in a variety of projects to test their skills and apply them naturally.
In Comic Creators, students will learn to apply digital arts tools to create modern comics. In this course, there is an emphasis on teaching digital artwork techniques, and creative writing skills to develop personal comic books. This course focuses on ELA skills in a way that excites students, while allowing for their creative ambitions to flow. Students will also be introduced to creative platforms for sharing their works with others.
3D Printing is an emerging technology that teaches students grades 6-8 to design 3D models using Autodesk TinkerCAD and to 3D print using MakerBot Desktop software. The class encourages students to use creativity in troubleshooting, engineering, and product design. This is a great course to introduce children to 3D printing, and the basic fundamentals of design within a 3D environment.

Web Design 401 Wix is for students grades 6-8 and seeks to develop the next generation of kid entrepreneurs by providing students the knowledge and tools to create a business website. This course will help students plan, validate, and implement their ideas. Students will develop a business model using the Lean Canvas and then use the Wix platform to design and build a website for that business.

Youtube Creation is a unique opportunity for students to learn the skills required to become a professional streamers and content creators. Students will focus on developing a set of skills useful to being a modern content creator, on platforms such as Youtube, Twitch, Twitter, Tiktok, and more. Students will learn about digital safety, creating a business, and personal skills that are required to be a successful professional entertainer. Technical skills taught include Streaming software setup, video editing, Youtube platform creation, and channel management, and more. The content of this class is dynamic enough to incorporate additional skills suitable for participating students, depending on their interests and hobbies that they wish to create content for.

REAL WORLD CURRICULUM
Our proven curriculum encourages kids to think outside the box through the wonderment of technology. Classes introduce entrepreneurship skills including confidence in presentation, task management, story-boarding/conceptualizing, organization, and in select courses business model development (with our AccelerateKID lean canvas). Our instructors provide mentorship as experienced professionals in the tech industry.
FULFILLMENT
Every 3 months, we assess each student with an individualized evaluation to identify his or hers strengths and any areas needing more attention to ensure each student fulfills their highest potential and achieves a long-term advantage in a competitive world.
FLEXIBILITY
AccelerateKID offers lab days in the event of a student absence. Lab days offer a day of catch up for those who missed a session or are falling behind and introduce new challenges to kids who are on track or ahead of the class. Ensuring all kids are able to reach their fullest potential is our highest priority.
YEAR-ROUND
Classes are available year-round. New classes are made available each month and schedules can be reviewed prior to registration. Each course runs 4-9 months and meets one day per week for 1-1.5 hours. Payments are made in monthly tuition installments with no commitment; you can cancel at any time.
INSTRUCTION
At the beginning of each class, we review previous instruction and homework for 15 minutes, ensuring all students are caught up. This is continued by 60 minutes of instruction. We conclude each class with 15 minutes of review, homework assignment and student work backup. All students retain rights to any and all work they have completed throughout the class.
