The AccelerateKID Hackathon on December 13th offers an exciting opportunity for middle school students in grades 6-8 to develop their coding and problem-solving skills. From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, participants will learn JavaScript and apply their knowledge to create a functional game or app. Throughout the event, students will also have the chance to design storyboards and explore how their projects can be incorporated into a business context. At the conclusion of the hackathon, participants will present their work, with the top two teams earning trophies for their achievements. First place will also be awarded with a $100 Amazon gift card! This event provides a valuable platform for students to enhance their technical skills, collaborate with peers, and gain hands-on experience in the fields of coding and app development.
